Gone too fast — and so was the scooter.”
On July 12, 2025, Corinne Macdonald “CoeMac” “Rene” took her final, ill-advised ride on her
newly acquired electric scooter, lovingly named “Scoot” — proving once and for all that while
you can go 18 mph in flip-flops, you probably shouldn’t.
Corinne, 74, left the world in the most Corinne way possible: dramatically, ironically, and with
at least two witnesses filming it for TikTok.
Born with equal parts charm and chaos, Corinne lived life like it was a montage set to 2000s pop
music — bold, a little reckless, and always with a chip on her shoulder. Whether she was
accidentally setting off car alarms with her laugh or confusing Alexa with philosophical
questions (“Alexa, why is everyone the worst?”), Corinne never failed to make an impression.
A lover of dogs, brunch, and scooters that beep too loudly when you go on the sidewalk, she
leaves behind an Instagram account filled with vacation photos, unposted drafts of
questionable memes, and at least three friends still locked in a group chat titled “Work Crimes.”
Corinne is survived by her bewildered family, her equally chaotic friends, and a closet full of
statement jackets from Mexico that no one else is brave enough to wear.
Her scooter, tragically unscratched, has since been re-rented and is probably being used as we
speak by someone who definitely didn’t learn from her mistakes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to wear something leopard print, order bottomless
mimosas, and absolutely do not ride scooters without a helmet. (Seriously. Don’t.)
Corinne, you came, you saw, you scootered — and you left us laughing. Rest in peace, queen of
controlled disasters.
Her surviving family wish to announce a celebration of life may be held at a later date; much of
her work history has been commemorated in picture form that will be held until blackmail
demands have been met.
