Chuck of Chuck’s Wood Working was a journeyman carpenter. He first started with Greene’s Construction then went on his own with Drumheller Developers, building houses all over Drumheller. He then started his own company calling himself Chuck’s Wood Working. He built everything, decks, fences, shingling roofs, his own coffin, he did it all. Chuck was a very hardworking man.
He was so unique, kind, funny, a special man, he did so many things. He played the ukulele, he built sets for the Kaleidoscope Threatre, he loved cooking and baking, including his special cinnamon buns.
Chuck went to Olds college to teach wool spinning; he made his own spinning wheel. He could knit, he crocheted shawls, socks, toques, he made quilts, sterling silver jewelry, he made his own beer growing his own hops, and he loved gardening.
He retired from carpentry; he loved not having to go to work.
We were married 51 years; I’m going to miss you so much. You’re the Best, Love you always, you were my Sunshine.
