Remembering Teresa Lucas
March 16, 1930 ~ March 12, 2016 Teresa Evelyn Lucas of Drumheller, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2016. Teresa lived in the Munson Community, spending several years on the family farm before moving into the Drumheller Valley in 2001. Teresa enjoyed sewing and delighted in making wedding dresses with her sister-in-law Maureen Desorcy. She will forever be remembered for her famous doughnuts, ginger-snap cookies, popsicle stash, and loved playing cards with family and friends.
Teresa is survived by her children, Colleen (Jim) Taylor, Marilyn (Rick) Christensen, Marlene (Rick) Danyleyko, Daniel (Michele) Lucas, brother, Gerry (Maureen) Desorcy, as well as her grandchildren, Nadene (Pat) Bateman, Robert Taylor (Miles), Amber (Alex) Smith, Neal (Alida) Taylor, Serena (Dan) Hohlbein, Lorena (Nathan) Voogd, Bryce (Rachel) Christensen, Evans Danyleyko, Tanner Danyleyko, Cooper Danyleyko, Quinn (Travis) Franke, Jobi Lucas (Alex Belfour), 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her husband Robert Lucas, they are together again at last and they will rest peacefully. Teresa was also predeceased by her parents, Leo & Doris Desorcy, brother, Raymond and sister-in-law Anita Desorcy, her niece, Jackie Desorcy, nephew, Kenny Tones.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday March 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from ST. ANTHONY'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, interment to follow at the Munson Cemetery, luncheon will follow at the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Hall. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
