Remembering Robert Crawley
October 11,1925 ~ February 1, 2012 Regretfully Bob Crawley passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday February 1, 2012. He is survived and will be missed by; his wife Helen, four sons: Pete (Karen), Pat, Greg (Roxanne) and Gerry (Anna). Bob will also be greatly missed by his eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Bob attended Churchill School and Drumheller High School, where he met his future wife, then went on to graduate from Olds School of Agriculture in 1946. He and Helen married on October 11, 1948. The couple lived and raised their boys on the family farm west of Drumheller on the Nacmine road until 1974, when he sold the farm and moved into town. In addition to farming, Bob was a Sergeant in "A" Company of the Calgary Highlanders from 1962 to 1970. He had many more careers during his life in the Drumheller area including; Valley bus driver, Griff's taxi driver, maintenance man at the CO-OP, Commissionaire at the Royal Tyrell Museum and school bus driver for Three Hills SD. During his eighty-six years in Drumheller and area Bob made many great friends and met many people. The family would like to thank them all for their kind words and support during this tough time. There will be no funeral or memorial service, according to Bob's wishes.
