Remembering Robert Bunnah October 31, 1928 ~ January 23, 2015
Robert Clarence Bunnah of Drumheller, beloved husband of the late Marjorie Hannah Bunnah, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 86 years.
Born October 31, 1928 at a homestead in Lac Vert Saskatchewan, to Christie Bunnah and Gertrude Bunnah. Robert enjoyed work and farming very much. Mom and Dad built the farm together from scratch and stayed there till moving to Innisfail about 10 years ago.Dad had many hobbies, which included, fishing, hunting, dancing, golfing, playing cards, traveling, camping, and his love of the Blue Jays and tried to never miss a game on TV, and enjoyed watching curling as well.Dad wrote books for the family to enjoy with stories of his past. Dad loved to share memories of the past. He won many a crib tournaments and was a life time Legion Member and up to the last 10 years was an active member.
Robert Clarence Bunnah is survived by; his daughter Susan (Alain) Lestrat, two sons Chris (Jenny) Bunnah Owen (Carmen Bunnah, nine grandchildren: Sonia, Charmaine, Lindsay, Crystal, Dennis, Tanya, Kelly, Drew and Brandon, as well as 14 great grandchildren, two sisters Marie (Bob) Patterson and Doris Wales, and brother Larry (Connie) Bunnah, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Besides his loving wife Marjorie Hannah, Robert was predeceased by his parents Christie and Gertrude Bunnah, brothers Jim Bunnah, Mike Bunnah, Fred Bunnah, Jack Bunnah and Donny Bunnah.
A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 P.M., on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home 199-2nd Street West Drumheller, AB with Reverend Bud Sargent officiating.
