On September 29, 2013, Jane Sommerville died in her sleep at the age of 92 years. Jane passed calmly and quietly, just as she had lived.
Jane was born Jane Jones on September 1, 1921, at Ponoka, Alberta. Her family moved to Calgary early in her life and that is where Jane attended school.
She married Ronald Sommerville on July 31, 1953, and they lived for many years on the Sommerville Farm in the Orkney/Ghost Pine District.
Jane is survived by sons, Kevin, Hugh, John, and George, and by sister, Carol McGrath, as well as grandchildren, Jenna Palmer and Kalin Sommerville, Kendra and Michael Sommerville, Chandra Schonken and Brett Sommerville, and great grandchildren, Emma, Emily, Max, Keegan, and Calleigh.
Funeral Services for Jane will be held Friday October 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from Saint Magloire's Anglican Church, Drumheller, Alberta. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
