Remembering Dorothy Charlebois
January 11, 1919 ~ June 3, 2012 Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family. She was predeceased by her husband Bertram, and beloved daughter Valerie (John), her parents Sam and Ethel Parken and her sisters Darlene (Fuller) and Shirley (Hawkins). She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Michael (Irma), Albert (Teresa), Robert (Henny), Elaine (Raymond), Sam (Sue), Janet, Ellen, Rita, David (Judy) and Richard (Janet). She is survived and fondly loved by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.,p> Dorothy raised her family on the farm at Carbon, and then moved to the village. She spent her later years in Drumheller. Dorothy's family and her steadfast faith were her purpose and joy. She lived her life with grace, dignity and quiet serenity.
Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Olfert and the medical staff and to all of the wonderful caregivers at both the Sunshine Lodge and Continuing Care in Drumheller for their kindness and excellent care to mom over these past years.
Funeral Arrangements are in the care of Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home. A Mass of Celebration will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 151 - 3 Street West, Drumheller on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mario Basque officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a Prayer Vigil at Courtney Winter's Funeral Home on the evening of Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
