David Gale Kirkpatrick
May 20, 1946 – September 15, 2026
Dave (Yogi) Kirkpatrick of Hussar, Alberta beloved husband of Judy Kirkpatrick passed away peacefully in Red Deer, Alberta on September 15, 2026, at the age of 80 years.
Dave was born May 20, 1946, in Bassano, Alberta to Jack and Jessie Kirkpatrick, youngest sibling to sisters Winnie, Sis and brothers Doug and Andy. Dave was a hardworking gentleman, working at Hiller and Son’s Farm, caretaker of the Hussar Curling Club for 30 years, his love for pigs in the barn at Pinnacle Swine which he worked at for 15 years. Dave was an avid sports enthusiast; he enjoyed watching baseball and hockey. Dave was also an outdoorsman, he loved fishing. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and a lifetime of friends.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, sister Winnie Peake, brother Doug Kirkpatrick, sister-in-law Shirley Kirkpatrick, brother-in-law Nick Munro. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Judy, his son Wesley (Ashley), his two grandsons Easton and Levi, one sister Sis Munro of Calgary, one brother Andy Kirkpatrick of Hussar brother-in-law Hugh Peake, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hussar Community Hall. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Hussar Curling Club. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
