It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Lemke, beloved wife of the late Gordon Lemke, on November 4th, 2025 at the Continuing Care Unit in Drumheller, Alberta.

Yvonne was born in Innisfail, Alberta. She was the fourth of six children having three sisters and two brothers. She was a teacher for over thirty-five years and for the majority of those years operated her own private kindergarten, Peter Pan Kindergarten, in the basement of her home.

Yvonne married Gordon Lemke in1958 and they made their home in Olds. Along with her passion for teaching children she enjoyed gardening, camping, and snowmobiling. She was a wonderful cook and amazing baker and always had fresh cookies and desserts for when company dropped in.

Yvonne was a compassionate, generous loving soul who loved animals and nature, always making sure the bird feeders were full as she got so much joy watching them from her kitchen window. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her two daughters Cathy (Jeff) McMaster and Kim (Brian) Heck and her two grandchildren Kyle Heck and Breanna Heck, her sister Marilyn Ash and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life Service for Yvonne will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. from the Olds Legion, Olds, Alberta. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to Boomers Haven Animal Rescue www.bhars.org Please forward condolences to www.courtneywintersfuneralhome.ca
