Violet May Stevens

Violet May (Tuckwood) Stevens February 8, 1933 - November 6, 2024 Age of 91 years It is with heavy hearts we say farewell to our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. Mom (Vi) was born February 8, 1933 in East Coulee, AB. In 1948 she met and married her late husband Sidney Stevens and began raising a family of ten children. Besides raising a large family Vi worked as a cook at the Drumheller Hospital for many years until her retirement. In her retirement she kept busy with crocheting and tatting handcrafted items which she gifted to many. Vi held onto her independent living up until she made her home the Sunshine Lodge in fall of 2021 where she received wonderful care and assistance. Vi is survived by her children Linda, Sidney, Kathleen, Ruth and Maryellen; her brother Larry as well as her many Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. As per her request there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice.
