Theresa Dorothy Grace MacPherson (Mandin)  

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa MacPherson, beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. Mom passed away quietly at St. Mary’s Continuing Care in Trochu, AB on October 7, 2021, at the age of 90 years.

Mom was born November 9, 1930, in Prince Albert, SK. Mom was the third child of Francis & Lucille Mandin. The family moved to North Battleford when Mom was very young. This is where Mom went to school and started her nurse’s assistant training, later moving to Melfort with her sister Marie to complete their courses. Mom worked in this field for over 10 years.

In 1955 Mom and Dad were married and started their life together. In 1959 they moved to Prince Albert with two young boys in tow. Together Mom and Dad raised four children, Robert (Bob), Archie (Dale), Ronda, and Charlene. There were many camping trips and family get togethers over the years.

Mom is survived by her son Bob (Carlene), daughters, Ronda (Paul), and Charlene (Trevor), brother Jack, sister Sheila (Bob) and sister-in-law Mag, brother-in-law Archie (Simone), sisters-in-law Olive, Yvonne, and Georgina (Bill) as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by Dad (2018) and son Dale (1979).

A special thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s Continuing Care for their kindness, care, and compassion in Mom’s final days. Also, thank you to Drumheller Homecare and the staff of Sunshine Lodge for making the past three years so enjoyable for Mom. There will be no service at Mom’s request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
