Steven Thomas Kempling

Steve of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully with his family at this side on October 28 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 66.

Steve was born to Tom and Sylvia Kempling July 13, 1959, in Drumheller.

He enjoyed the outdoors and exploring the valley looking for fossils, being in the mountains with the trees and lakes.  He loved animals, especially dogs and cats.  Steve enjoyed spending time with friends and family at Birthdays and Christmas.  He learned working on vehicles and machinery and antiques etc... with Dad.  Steve like photography, music and playing guitar.  His passion was anything with wheels, bicycles, minibikes, motorbikes, antiques and especially cars.  He went to school in Morrin and at Drumheller Composite High School where he took automotives with Ralph Gutwald (his mentor).

His love of the business of the city, people and vehicles took him to Calgary where he worked as a cab driver, a limousine driver and various other jobs.  He was a member of the Homestead Antique Museum Society and enjoyed driving the old tow truck in the Drumheller July 1st parade.

Steve will be missed by his Sister Loralee Dedul, Niece Lisa (Kevin) McKenzie, Megan (Will) Motz, Kelvin (Jaci) baby Bennett, Niece Wendy (Chris) Walsh, Coyne and Opal Walsh, Cousin Michael (Kendra)Pickard and family. Extended family; Bernice Dedul, Steve & Joanne Dedul, Mark (Terri) Dedul.

Steve was predeceased by his Grandparents Ted and Cathy Pickard, Parents Tom and Sylvia Kempling, Uncle ken and Aunt Dorothy, Cousin Brenda and most recently Brother in law Dave Dedul.

There will not be any formal funeral services at this time
