Stella Uhrich

September 28, 1942 ~ December 11, 2025

Stella passed away at the Drumheller Hospital on December 11, 2025 at the age of 83.  Stella was predeceased by her husband Roy Uhrich, her parents Emma and August Dobler, brothers Johnny and Joe Dobler, sisters Lilian Mee, Erna Maerz and nieces and nephews.

Stella will be affectionately remembered by her daughters Joanne Dedul (Steve), Lee Uhrich (Char Brace), and granddaughter Karley Bodnarchuk, brother Ted Ginger (Peggy), sister-in-law Joan Dobler, Lucy Uhrich, Helen Schrock, Carolanne Jarvis, Cindy Baille, Maryann Uhrich, Marge Uhrich, brother-in-law Garry Uhrich and many nieces and nephews.

In order for the family to purchase their first colour T.V., Stella decided to look for a job, she found one and with that first pay cheque, we had our very first colour T.V.  Stella had many different occupations throughout her life.  She loved working in various clothing stores in town and was manager of the Betty Shop back in the day.  Stella eventually moved on to banking, and worked at CIBC for many years where she had met lifelong friends and enjoyed her clients. 

We would like to thank Dr. Hall, Dr. Mateer and all the special staff at the Drumheller hospital for their exceptional care that was given to our mom in her time of need.  We would also like to thank Sean Grande and the staff from Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home.  We would also like to thank Freson Bros in advance for the luncheon provided.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at the St. Anthony’s Hall in Drumheller on December 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. (151 3rd Street West).  If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S.
