Ronald "Ron" Storch Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Colin Storch

April 28, 1956 ~ April 10, 2023

It is with profound sadness and deep loss that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Ron Storch in the I.C.U. at the Calgary Foothills Medical Centre on April 10, 2023 after a hard-fought battle following a tragic accident.

Ron was born in Drumheller and raised on the family farm in the Morrin community.  He met the love of his life (Theresa Radke) in grade 7, graduated high school sweethearts and married her a year later (1976).  They lived on the farm and had three children (Brad, Greg, and Kristy).  After thirteen years the family moved to Munson, where he started his career working in the oil and gas industry.  During this time, he enjoyed driving truck, running a picker and being a truck-push.  In 2008 Ron and Theresa moved to Drumheller where he continued working as a truck-push.  In 2015 he then started working at Craigmyle Oilfield Services where he was appreciated for his astonishing abilities to complete specific projects that he truly loved.

Ron’s true enjoyments in life were spending time with family and friends traveling to many places to watch his kids and grandkids participate in any of their activities. He enjoyed camping, quading, playing cards, watching the Dragons, supporting his community, and just simply visiting.

Ron was a jack of all trades that his family and friends could call for help with anything.  His knowledge and abilities benefited many by always seeing every job through to the end.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, children Brad (Renee), Greg (Jannelle), Kristy (Rick), grandchildren Ryan, Brennen, Eden, Brady, Stella, and Beckett, sister Charlotte (Lyle), sister-in-law Kate (Cliff), numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Colin and Irene Storch, parents in law Herb and Elsie Radke and brother-in-law Lyall Radke.

Ron will be truly missed and has touched many lives in significant ways.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Munson Community Hall.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S. or the Diabetes Association of Canada.
