Robert "Bill" William Lapham

Robert (Bill) William Lapham of Drumheller, beloved husband of the late Heather Joan Lapham, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026 at the age of 71 years.

Born in England on May 4th, 1954, Bill joined the Royal Navy before making his way to Canada where he met the love of his life, Heather, and together they shared many happy years building a life and raising their family. An avid camper and fisherman, he especially treasured time with family and friends at campgrounds. Bill gave generously of his time as a Scout leader and mentor, playing a key role in creating many award‑winning floats for Scouts Canada. In recognition of his service and dedication to the Royal Navy, he was the proud recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Award. He had a lifelong love of motorbikes, enjoyed video gaming, and could often be found playing cards with friends, sharing laughter and camaraderie.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his mother, Doris; his son, Rob; his daughters, Sabrina (Jamie) and Danielle (Kenan); his grandsons, Hayden and Otis; as well as his siblings and their families. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Heather, and his father, Bob.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2026, at Midland Community Hall,
2011 1 Ave NW, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y1, between 1:00 – 4:00pm.

Bill was most comfortable in jeans and a t‑shirt, and in his honour, guests are invited to attend in casual wear.
