Robert Sanford Hird of Edmonton, Alberta, son of Robert Hird Sr. and Florence (Sanford) Hird passed away suddenly on January 16, 2026 at the age of 71 years. Robert was predeceased by his mom and dad and sister Kathleen (Hird) Thomas. Robert is survived by his brother, Cameron Hird, wife Debbie Hird as well as nieces, nephews and their families.

There will no formal funeral service for Robert, and memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
