Rayanna Joy Heitt
January 28, 1959 ~ March 4, 2026
Rayanna Joy Heitt of Drumheller passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Rayanna was born on January 28, 1959 to Raymond and Deanna Heitt in Edmonton, Alberta. She leaves to mourn her loving son Shaun, brother Mark Heitt and grandson Noah Heitt, as well as numerous family and friends.
Rayanna took her early schooling in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She talked of her great memories and lasting friendships from that time. Rayanna worked in the service industry for most of her career. She was also a lumber grader, a house painter and a weed inspector.
Her hobbies included word burning pictures, bird watching, and gardening. If anyone had questions on these subjects she was the person to ask, she had a vast knowledge of both. She also had a passion for decorating people’s spaces with what they had, reinventing spaces without spending too much money. Be it inside or outside, her creativeness was always flowing. In grade eight, she received a vocal award, she got to study under a renowned vocal director Nancy Campbell. Then the group of girls performed at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton and Calgary. Rayanna loved animals and rescued many in her lifetime. She fought for what was right, letting her moral compass lead the way. One of Rayanna’s happy places was in her garden having coffee with friends, another happy place was going on road trips to Thrift stores and singing in the car.
Rayanna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will not be a service for Rayanna, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
