Nicholas James Murphy

Mr. Nicholas James Murphy of Delia, Alberta, beloved spouse of Sarah Gonty passed away suddenly of an unknown illness on January 27, 2023 in Drumheller, Alberta at the age of 42 years.  Nicholas was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on June 20, 1980 to Patsy Higgins Bradley and Thomas Murphy.  Nick was always the light of the room no matter where he went.  He could make the best out of the worst  possible situations.  In a short time Nick had accomplished so much, but the one thing that meant the most was his family.  Family was everything to Nick.  He strived to give his children everything they needed and the love they deserved.  He was extremely kindhearted and always meant well.  If you couldn’t find Nick at home or at work then you would find him along some river or creek with a cold beer and a fishing rod.  He loved  to be outdoors, fishing,  hiking, and camping.  Being with family under the stars was his biggest get away.  If you are looking for him now, you will find him sitting by the lake, rod in hand, and a smile on his face. 

You will be forever remembered and forever loved.

Nick leaves to cherish his memory, his spouse Sarah Gonty, his two daughters Kyra Gonty, Ceirra Gonty, his son Kaleb Matthew James Murphy, his sisters Christa Murphy of Nova Scotia, Erin Ross (Adam Warren) of Coleville, Saskatchewan, his brothers Jeffrey Higgins ( Jeff's daughter Alissa Higgins) of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Gerald Ross (Kinna, Khloe, Bella) of Calgary, Alberta.

There will not be any formal funeral services for Nick.  Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes were in care of the arrangements.
