Mary Jackson Obituary

Mary Jane Jackson (Neill)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Jackson (Neill), who passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on July 14, 1936, in Edmonton, Alberta, Mary grew up on the family farm near Morrin, Alberta. After living in Calgary for several years, she returned to Morrin with her nine children. She later worked in healthcare, where she met the love of her life, Don. They married in 1977 and built their home on the family farm near Morrin.

Mary and Don shared many happy years together, travelling to car shows and parades in their cherished 1955 Ford Crown Victoria. They enjoyed the friendships they made and the adventures they shared.

Family was always at the heart of Mary’s life. In her younger years, there was always time for a cup of tea and a visit, especially when family stopped by. She loved baking birthday cakes and pies for her children and grandchildren and found great joy in celebrating the people she loved. Some of the fondest family memories were made around her kitchen table, sharing stories, laughter, and homemade treats.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda (Tom), Clay, Kathy (Gordon), Margie (Laverne), DeeDee (Calvin), Anna Marie, and Tracy; her grandchildren, Heather (Ryan), TJ (Nicole), Christina, Jeremy, Tracey (Carver), Jackie (Dan), Nicole, Wes (Taylor), Jamie, Amanda (Reid), and Brendan; her cherished Great-grandchildren, Kayden, Maya, Carson, Tucker, Larissa (Jason), JAG, Chip, Em, Rylan, Frankie, Sawyer, Paige, Claire, Edwin, great great grandchildren Grant, Eleanor and Amelia, as well as extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Don, who passed away on October 4, 2024; her children, Randy and Connie; and her grandsons, Justin, Shane and Sheldon.

Although Mary’s world became smaller in her later years, the love she had for her family remained constant. She will be remembered for her resilience, her devotion to those she loved, and the many memories shared over cups of tea, family gatherings, birthday celebrations, and life on the farm.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, in Morrin, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “STARS Air Ambulance”, in Mary’s memory.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
