Marian Johnson

Marian Johnson of Drumheller, wife of Jeff Johnson, and mother of Leah passed away on November 1, 2023 at the Drumheller Health Centre.

Marian was the first child of Larry and Aase Friis of Calgary, and an older sister to brothers David and Dennis, and sister Kathy.  Marian met and later married Jeff in 1980 and they relocated to Drumheller in 1984.  She soon started her long career at the Royal Tyrrell Museum where she made many lasting friendships with her colleagues.

Marian loved to travel, listen to live music, and share a glass of wine or a margarita with friends.  She had a particular love for winter trips to Acapulco, and never met a cat she didn't like.  She loved spending time with her extended family, whether it was for a holiday dinner, a neice or nephews wedding, a trip to the family cabin in B.C. or even just a visit over a cup of coffee.

As per Marian's wishes, no funeral service is to be held.
