Louise Margaret (Wilson) Hansen

It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Margaret Hansen (Wilson) announce her passing on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the age of 61.

Louise will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Quinn (Jodi) & Zane (Shayna); grandchildren, Sawyer & Hayes; siblings, Patricia (Jerry) & Bonnie (Rob); nephew, Clayton; nieces, Nicole & Jessica and numerous other family members and friends.

Louise was predeceased by her mother, Alice Wilson; step-father, Tony Metz and nephew, Travis Chambers.

Louise was born in Drumheller on July 11, 1961 and spent most of her earlier years in the Handhills where she married Cal Hansen and had two wonderful sons Quinn in 1994 followed by Zane in 1996. When her sons were young she moved to Hanna with them and ran a successful day home for many years before taking a job at the hospital. Followed by a position in Helping hands, and settling in Craigmyle where she remained until her passing. She also continued to raise cattle throughout her life.

Louise was a loving mother devoted to her boys and her grandchildren and spent much of her life caring for others. She was known for her sense of humour and her love of horses and cats (in particular those with ‘unique’ personalities).

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held on November 5th,2:00pm at the Handhills Lake Community Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society.
