Lisa passed away on May 3, 2025 at the Drumheller Health Centre after a courageous battle with breast cancer for 4 and a half years. Her loving family was by her side.

Lisa was born February 18, 1980, to parents Mark and Penny Hansen in Drumheller, Alberta.  She grew up in the Munson/Morrin area on the family farm with her two sisters.  This is where her love of horses started, she spent a lot of time grooming, riding, and just loving her horses.  Lisa took her schooling in Morrin, where she graduated.  She met her husband Craig as a teen, that grew into thirty years together.  Lisa did many things in her short life, she ran Gus’s Restaurant downtown Drumheller for 11 years, she then started a successful career at Western Financial Group for many years.  Lisa was heavily involved in the Drumheller Valley, she served on the Town Council for nearly 15 years, continually giving back, politics was a passion for Lisa.  She had three horses that she loved dearly, houseboating, Edmonton Oilers, fossil collecting with her dad were favourite pastimes.  Lisa cherished her family, her husband and their two girls, a loving wife and mother.  Lisa spent many hours volunteering to help other people and organizations, raising awareness where needed, one in particular, the 100 KM Kidney March, she completed the full 100KM March in 2013.  Lisa will be sadly missed but always remembered by her loving family, and her community.

Lisa was predeceased by her grandmother Betty Christensen, and grandfather Mel Hansen.

Lisa leaves to mourn her loss, her husband of 20 years Craig, her two daughters Allannah and Rachelle, her parents Mark and Penny, her two sisters Angela and Stephanie, her grandmother Pearl, her father and mother in law Jerry and April, brother in law Jeff (Liz), sister in law Janice (Neil), numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a lifetime of friends.
