Jolene arrived on a beautiful day in August, a special day being her big brother Christopher’s 6th birthday.

Jolene is survived by her proud parents David Lennart Nelson, and Dwyn Anne Appleton, brother Chris Nelson (Lynn), sister Jennifer Nelson, grandmother Joyce Nelson, she is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jolene was predeceased by her grandfather Lennart Nelson, grandmother Merna Appleton, grandfather, Charles Appleton, uncle Phil Nelson.

The light of Jolene’s life were her two children, Haiden (8), and Hannah (7).  She loved her animals, her awful kitty Pud stayed at her side for 22 years (we say awful because nobody else could get near him without permanent scars).  Her little dog Bella she rescued and called her Christmas Miracle, she loved Bella, until she could love no more.  Jolene’s talent for the arts was obvious, she loved decorating, reading, baking, cake decorating.  Jolene worked as a caterer for many years, and her dream was to one day open her own business.

Our beautiful girl fell into the vicious disease of addiction, and for 15 years we tried feverishly to pull her out and home, unfortunately the power of that addiction took her on July 11, 2024.  Jolene had a family we really didn’t know, a family that kept her safe, shared essentials such as a warm blanket, dry socks, food, and companionship, a family that held a vigil before we even received the news of her passing, for you all, I thank you, I know your worlds are difficult.

Darlin…not a minute will pass you will leave my heart, for now God Speed, have a rest! Your children are safe and loved!
