John Edward Medland passed away suddenly on August 22, 2025, at the age of 72 Years.

John was born in Toronto, he moved to Hanna, Alberta where he was a mechanic at Trueman Ford.  After moving to Dryden, he worked for Dingwall Ford before opening and operating his own garage.  John had a passion for mechanics and always had a project on the go.  John loved all animals and usually had a furry friend for companionship.  John enjoyed having coffee at McDonalds in Dryden, Ontario.  He moved to Drumheller, Alberta where he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandchildren.

John leaves to mourn one daughter Leah Medland, one son Nathan Medland, four grandchildren William Paquette, Lucas Paquette, Neko Colley, Kendall Medland, two brothers Mike Medland, Mark Fichault and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

John was predeceased by his parents John Medland Sr., Joan Fichault, and one brother Steve Medland.

A private service and burial will be held in Endiang, Alberta for the immediate family.
