John William Judge

April 16, 1979 – August 19,2022

John Judge passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Friday, August 19, 2022.  A beloved son and brother, he was born to Bill and Bev Judge April 16, 1979 in Pincher Creek, Alberta.  John was a manifestation of courage and perseverance throughout his health challenged and developmentally disabled life.  He moved with his parents and brothers, David and Phillip from Pincher Creek to Drumheller in 1984.  He attended schools in Pincher Creek, Drumheller and Olds, as well as receiving services from ACTION Group (Red Deer) and D.A.R.T.S. (Drumheller).  He lived primarily with his parents until the age of 35.  Many hospital visits were a part of John’s life, especially in the early years.  And his triple hello, hello, hello greeted everyone from doctors to the kitchen staff.  Therapists also assisted John.  One physio with nerves of steel even had him riding a horse.  He loved bowling, swimming and bike rides with his Dad.  John would sing with anyone willing to sing with him and when no one was available he would hum to himself to his heart’s content.

John was predeceased by grandparents Ralph and Hettie Age of Pincher Creek and Jack and Anne Judge of Medicine Hat.  John will be missed by his parents, brothers, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and the staff of Resident #4 of D.A.R.T.S. where he lived for the last 21 months of his life.

There will be a private service held for John.  Memorial donations may be made in loving memory of John Judge to Valley Bus Association of Drumheller, 224 Centre St, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0
