James William Neill

September 11, 1934 ~ February 18, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James William Neill.  He was born September 11, 1934 and passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 18th, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Jim grew up on the family farm where he farmed with his father and brothers until health issues made it necessary for him to move to Continuing Care in Drumheller.  He has resided there for the past 25 years and called it home.  He enjoyed all recreational activities.  He liked playing crib, singing and dancing.  He also enjoyed his church activities a lot.  He received wonderful care there from all the staff and Dr. Mpisi, who were all very kind to him.

Jim was predeceased by his parents John A. and Susan, sister Margaret Trentham, brothers Donald Roy, Billy, Don, and Harry.

Jim is survived by his sister Mary (Don) Jackson, brothers John (Karen), Brian (Sylvia) and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

A private family funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. from Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home.  Interment to follow at the Morrin Cemetery.  If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Continuing Care Recreational Department).  Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
