James Ehrman Obituary

James (Jamie) Harold Ehrman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, James “Jamie” Harold Ehrman, who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the Drumheller Hospital at the age of 66, following many years of health challenges.

Jamie was born on February 1, 1960, in Three Hills, Alberta, to Harold and Marian Ehrman, and was raised in Torrington. He graduated from Trochu High School in 1978 before beginning a career at the Wimborne Gas Plant, where he dedicated more than 30 years of service.

Jamie found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping with his family, hunting, and making homemade sausage. He had a special place in his heart for animals and treasured every pet that became part of his life. He also enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing stories, and having a good laugh. Those who knew Jamie will remember his appreciation for good company, his love of the outdoors, and the kindness he showed to both people and animals.

Jamie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona Ehrman (Pugh), and his mother, Marian Ehrman. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Peter Ehrman (Bailey) and John Ehrman (Sydney); his father, Harold Ehrman; his sister, Nancy Ghostkeeper (Pat); his cherished grand-pets; as well as numerous extended family members, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wimborne Community Hall in Wimborne, Alberta. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller & District Humane Society in honour of Jamie’s lifelong love of animals, or to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation – Recreation Department, whose programs helped enhance his quality of life during his time in long-term care.
