Heidi Elann McLean of Drumheller, Alberta, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at the age of 52 years.
Heidi was born in Drumheller, Alberta on December 30, 1973, and lived there throughout most of her life, spending a few years in both Calgary and Red Deer.
She is survived by her parents, Carol and Clifford (Sandy) McLean; her partner, Dale Shannon; her daughter, Colby LeBlanc (Walter Gutzman), and granddaughter, Evelyn; her sisters Justine Finlay (Brian) and Kathy Hayes; nieces and nephews, James & Morgan and Georgia & Francis; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Serafino), Bev, Wayne (Kathy), Lorne, Heather McLean (Brian Sayer); and her close-knit cousins and their families; Sean, Lisa, Susan, Carson, Natalie, Dustin, Kirk, Chelsey, Adam, Peter James, Crystal and Miranda.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents; Harold (Nip) and Ella Knipfel; and paternal grandparents, Pete and Ann McLean; her uncle Donald McLean; her cousin Duncan McLean; her brother-in-law Daniel Hayes; and uncle Lanny Holmen.
Heidi greatly loved her entire family, especially her daughter and granddaughter, and her nieces and nephews. She was a great lover of pets, and her dog, Scrappy, who was both blind and deaf, was given the best life with her.
She was a free spirit and lived her life just as she preferred, carving out her own path.
A memorial service for Heidi will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish Hall, located at 151 - 3rd Street West in Drumheller, Alberta.
