It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgina Beatrice Pearce on June 27, 2026 at Drumheller Continuing Care at the age of 86 years.
Georgie was born August 18, 1939, to Violet and George Evans in Kidderminster, England. She took her schooling there, and after school she married Kenneth Frederick Pearce. They emigrated to Canada, settling down in Drumheller and raised their two girls. Georgie was a Teachers Aid at the Greentree School for 28 years. She loved camping, gardening, she grew the most beautiful roses, many hours spent doing cross stitch, knitting and sharing her crochet skills with granddaughters. Georgie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
Georgina leaves to cherish her family, daughter Sharon (Mark), grandchildren Stephanie (Chris) and their children, Christian (Alex) and their children, daughter Darlene, grandchildren Joanna and her two children, Amanda, Kenny, sister-in-law Doreen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgie was predeceased by her husband Ken, granddaughter Carrie-Lynn, son-in-law John, best friends Max and Doreen and numerous other family members.
As per Georgie’s wishes there will not be a funeral service, if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Calgary Neuro Oncology Clinic.
