Elsie Laura Hatt (Pennock)

Elsie Laura Hatt of Rumsey beloved wife of Erick George Hatt passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on November 15, 2021 at the age of 75 years.

Elsie was born on July 7, 1946 in Drumheller, Alberta to Harold and Laura Pennock, she was one of seven children.  She grew up in the Rumsey area, taking her schooling and helping on the family farm.

Elsie loved gardening, she was a wonderful baker, she operated the Trochu Foods for many years with her family, she loved camping and treasured family time with her husband, kids and grandchildren.

Elsie was predeceased by her parents Harold and Laura Pennock, her sister Doris Cawiezel, and her grandson Jaiden Hatt.

Elsie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Erick, her sons Stephen (Wilma), Michael (Anabel), grandchildren Carl, Nathan, Lucas, Bonbon, sisters Margaret, Mary, brothers George, Alan, Gene and their families.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a private family service for Elsie Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Rumsey Community Hall, memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S.
