It is with much sadness that we announce Bonnie-Jean Margaret Perry (nee Michaud) passed away on March 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 65 years.
Bonnie-Jean was born January 19, 1958 in Brockville, Ontario to Kelly and Elizabeth Michaud. Bonnie-Jean was one of four children born to Kelly and Elizabeth. She took her schooling in the Ontario / Quebec area.
On November 14, 1998 she married Douglas Perry, the couple resided in Chilliwack, B.C. until retiring to the Rumsey, Alberta area six years ago. Bonnie-Jean and Doug immersed themselves into ranch life, enjoyed their two horses. Bonnie-Jean was very accomplished at sewing, she loved to sew. Bonnie-Jean was a bookkeeper which she really enjoyed, she also liked to cook for her family, but most of all Bonnie-Jean loved a good book. Ranch life wouldn’t be complete without Bonnie-Jean’s cats, she had 3 indoors and 8 outdoors which she spoiled, even the horses got treats from Bonnie-Jean. Bonnie-Jean famous quote about herself was she was, “Chief cook and bottlewasher at wrangler millrighting”. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and a lifetime of friends.
Bonnie-Jean was predeceased by her parents Kelly & Elizabeth Michaud, sister Colleen Michaud, and father-in-law Don Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Doug, two sons Kelly (Tammie), Robert and their families, Doug’s children Stacey (Lee Trach), Calvin (Jaimy) and their families, two brothers Kelly Michaud, Thomas Michaud, best friend Sandra White, mother-in-law Muriel Perry, numerous nieces, nephews, and the Perry family.
There will be a service for close family and friends at a later date. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
