Beverley Ann (Briggs) McArthur

August 25, 1940 ~ August 30, 2023

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Beverley “Bev” Ann McArthur.

Bev was born and raised in Drumheller and after completing High School she moved to Calgary where she raised her family, worked, established life and made many long friendships.  Upon retirement she returned to Drumheller to live.  She enjoyed the quieter pace and gained many new friendships through her community involvement: Palliative Care, Knox United Church and the Pioneer Trail Centre where she especially enjoyed singing with the choir.

A loving and supportive daughter, mother, sister, and aunt.  She truly enjoyed being a great great aunt to Finn and Everly, her niece’s children, and they are richer for her love.  She was an amazing friend to many and had a family of friends, some international, some closer to home, some recent but she had friendships that were decades long.  She treasured her friendships and valued each one.

Bev her survived by her sons Kevin (Calgary), Craig (Banff), her nieces Colleen (David) Pennington, Maureen (Thomas) Behl, great nieces and nephews Mitchell, Jessica, Amelia, Stephan and Monica and her very dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents William (Billy) Briggs, Alverna Corson, step-father Ken Corson, sister Carol Montpetit, and great niece Erin Pennington.

There will be no service at Bev’s request.  She would have been very pleased if her memory was honoured by a donation to the Drumheller Humane Society.
