Adeline Lenora Dougherty
July 7, 1932 – February 12, 2022
It is will great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mom and grandma on February 12, 2022 in Drumheller, Alberta at the age of 89 years.
Adeline was born July 7, 1932 in Trochu, Alberta. Adeline had two daughters Donna and Daphne. On October 9, 1968 Adeline married James Dougherty. Adeline worked at the Dallas Restaurant and later on the Diana Restaurant.
Adeline perfected many things in her life. She loved sewing, gardening, knitting, cooking was her love, her family says she was the best cook ever, her cinnamon buns and blackforest cake were a family favourite, “they were the best”. Adeline cooked with love, dishes such as turkey dinner, prime rib, and chicken kiev. She loved spending time with her family which always include some cats and dogs, a true animal lover. She always took the time to stop and visit, she will be truly missed.
Adeline was predeceased by her daughter Daphne, her mom Eva Bruneski, three brothers, and two sisters.
Adeline leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of over 50 years Jim, her daughter Donna (Chuck) Verschagin, three grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.
There will be a Graveside Service held at a later date. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller District Humane Society. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
The Family wishes to invite friends and family to a Graveside service for Adeline on July 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Drumheller Cemetery Columbarium.
