Lynda May Dupius (nee Cunningham)
Lynda was born May 8, 1944 in Sexsmith, Alberta and passed away at the Drumheller Care Centre on Friday, March 1st, 2019 at the age of 74 years. Lynda lived for many years in Grande Prairie where she met and married Romeo Dupuis in 1963. They were blessed with a daughter, Vicki Lynn, for a short time until Vicki passed away at the age of two. In 1987 Lynda and Romeo moved to Calgary and then in 1991 to Drumheller. Although previously Lynda worked in finance, in Drumheller she ran the This n That gift store for many years. Lynda was never happier than when in the outdoors and camping. While many wonderful days were spent in various camping locations in southern Alberta, she had a special place in her heart for the Two Lakes area in the mountain south of Grande Prairie. Lynda was an animal lover, and gave a great deal of support to many conservation groups throughout the years.
Lynda is survived by her sisters Lois Fenton and Pat Bumstead, brother-inlaws Dave Fenton and Duane Bumsteads, niece Janet Plante (Pete) and nephew Barry Fenton (Penny) and their families.
Lynda was predeceased by her daughter Vicki, husband Romeo, and parents Dorothy & Tom Cunningham.
A Celebration of Life for Lynda will be held by the family in the spring. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
